Could be Worse_Studio is a multidisciplinary creative studio and cycling-focused agency founded in Shanghai in 2021 by Qiao Jianzhen and Yang Wenguang.
We value integrity in business and collaboration by realizing the most hilarious ideas possible into inspiring entities.
Rooted in a philosophy of irrational optimism and sharp humor, the name reflects the idea that “things could always be worse”—a perspective that challenges consumerism, political correctness, and the pursuit of viral trends through creativity and wit.
As a creative hub, the studio collaborates with brands and creators across various areas, offering services in graphic design, community building, event curation, film production, industrial design, installation art, editorial content, and brand strategy consulting.
At the same time, Could be Worse_Studio operates as a cycling industry agency, developing its own lines of cycling apparel, hardware, and race events, blending technical expertise with a distinct creative vision.
Loose End is an apparel brand that emerged from the fixed-gear culture, established serendipitously in Shanghai in 2021. Its Chinese name is “多出来的".

If you, like us, have been fooled enough by countless marketing tactics, yet still enjoy (buying) bicycles and still seek inspiration from them, then It Is What It Is.
